MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019663 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 16, 2024, for 'v-type engine block maintenance device.'

Inventor(s) include Aishwary Awasthi.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A V-type engine block maintenance device, comprising a housing 1 installed with a platform 2 over which a V-type engine block is placed, a touch enabled screen 3 accessed by user to input commands for maintenance of engine block, a camera 4 detects dimensions of engine block, four plates 5 configured on platform 2 via four sliders 6 for securing block, an electronic nozzle 7 attached with a chamber 8 for dispensing diesel on block, an L-shaped telescopically operated rod 9 extends and positions a brush 10 on block for cleaning dirt and dust, a motorized sliding unit 11 provides to-and-fro motion to rod 9 for scrubbing surface of block, a primary robotic arm 12 positions a puppy dial gauge 13 at different locations whose readings is read by camera 4, a secondary robotic arm 14 positions a motorized grinder 15 on block for grinding surface via grinder 15."
