MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511123358 A) filed by Dr Shivani Fotedar, New Delhi, on Dec. 8, 2025, for 'urine volume measurement system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a urine volume measurement system comprising a wearable urine-receiving interface arranged to be worn by a user and arranged to collect urine and direct said urine toward a cassette inlet. A detachable cassette coupled to said cassette inlet comprises a capillary flow pathway arranged to advance urine along a calibrated length and a chromatographic indicator region arranged to create a visually distinguishable front. A calibrated reference is arranged to permit determination of urine volume from said visually distinguishable front. An optical evaluation unit comprises an illumination assembly, an image-capture assembly, a computational unit arranged to calculate urine volume, and a presentation interface arranged to display said urine volume."
