MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547095230 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on Oct. 3, for 'uplink selection and switching in initial access.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, on a downlink carrier of a bidirectional cell having the downlink carrier and a first uplink carrier, configuration information. The UE may transmit, on the first uplink carrier of the bidirectional cell or a second uplink carrier of a co-located unidirectional cell, a first random access channel (RACH) message in accordance with the configuration information, wherein the bidirectional cell is associated with a first frequency range, and the unidirectional cell is associated with a second frequency range that is lower than the first frequency range. Numerous other aspects are described."
