MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514087615 A) filed by Nouryon Chemicals International B. V., Amsterdam, on Sept. 15, 2025, for 'unsaturated scorch retarders.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to organic peroxide formulation comprising at least one organic peroxide; and at least one unsaturated scorch retarder having the structure of general formula (I): (I) wherein, R1 is selected from OH, O-R5, or a saturated or unsaturated, linear, branched, or cyclic C1 to C8 alkyl group; R2 10 is on each occurrence independently selected from H or a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched C1 to C8 alkyl group; R3 is on each occurrence independently selected from H, O-R6, or a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched C1 to C8 alkyl group; R4 is on each occurrence independently selected from OH, O-R6, or a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched C1 to C8 alkyl group; R5 is selected from a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched C1 to C8 alkyl group or -[CH2]n-OCOCR4CR2R3 ; R6 15 is on each occurrence independently selected from a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched C1 to C8 alkyl group; and n is from 2-8, with the proviso that one but not both of R2 and R3 are H, or wherein R1 and R2 are joined to form a 5, 6, or 7 membered ring, said ring being formed of atoms selected from C, O, and S and containing one or two carbon-carbon double bonds and one or two carbonyl groups, said ring being optionally substituted with one or more saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched C1 to C8 alkyl groups; R3 is H; and R4 and R6 are as described above, or wherein R3 and R4 20 are joined to form a 5, 6, or 7 membered ring, said ring being formed of atoms selected from C, O, and S and containing one or two carbon-carbon double bonds, said ring optionally substituted with one or more saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched C1 to C8 alkyl groups; R2 is H; and R1, R5, R6 and n are as described above."
