MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517044910 A) filed by Taier Heavy Industry Co. Ltd., Anhui, China, on May 9, for 'universal coupling flange fork and manufacturing method therefor and universal coupling.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to the technical field of couplings. The universal coupling flange fork comprises a flange plate and a fork body end surface teeth used for transmitting torque are provided on an end surface of the flange plate and the fork body is connected to an external rotating component; the end surface teeth comprise a plurality of teeth located in the same plane and a wear resistant layer is formed on the teeth and the roots thereof; the wear resistant layer has a recessed surface texture or pattern formed by a flow path the flow path allows grease to be stored and delivered after passing through the surface of the end surface teeth and the recessed surface texture or pattern is separately fabricated on the wear resistant layer by an external means."
