MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521131430 A) filed by Mit Art, Design And Technology University, Pune, Maharashtra, on Dec. 24, 2025, for 'unit-dose cosmetic formulation packaging system and method therefor.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed are a unit-dose cosmetic formulation packaging system (100) and a method therefor. The unit-dose cosmetic formulation packaging system (100) includes a plurality of primary packaging units (10) and a secondary packaging container (30). Each of the primary packaging units (10) includes a solid cosmetic composition (4) enclosed in HPMC (8) that dissolves in a liquid medium without requiring manual rupture, thereby preventing exposure of the enclosed solid cosmetic composition (4) to air or moisture and permitting accurate, hygienic, single-dose use. The biodegradable secondary packaging container (30) offers stackability for efficient storage and transport, uses minimal ink for essential details, and supports tactile design features such as embossing or debossing."
