MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547096039 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on Oct. 6, for 'unified transmission configuration indicator (tci) state indication for single or multiple downlink control information (dci) based multiple transmission reception point (trp) operation.'
Inventor(s) include Yuan, Fang; and Zhou, Yan.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In multiple downlink control information (multi-DCI) based multiple transmission reception point (multi-TRP) operations, a user equipment (UE) may receive respective DCIs from each of the multiple TRPs that schedule a shared channel communication to be performed with the corresponding TRP of the multiple TRPs. A UE may be configured with or activated with unified transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for one or more channels or signals. A UE may transmit capability information to the network that indicates capabilities of the UE associated with application of the unified TCI state framework to multi-DCI based multi-TRP operation. The network may transmit control signaling indicating parameters for the multi-DCI based multi-TRP operation based on the capability information. The UE may receive multiple DCIs from the multiple TRPs that schedule a multi-TRP operation (e.g., a shared channel communication between the UE and the multiple TRPs)."
The patent application was internationally filed on May 01, 2024, under International application No.PCT/CN2024/091068.
