Inventor(s) include Dr. Gopichand G; and Mr. Sayantan Mondal.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a unified threat detection system for network security comprising a packet capture module (102) configured to intercept network packets in real-time using Scapy library and extract metadata, a rule-based filtering engine (110) configured to apply predefined firewall rules to determine whether to allow or block traffic, an intrusion detection and prevention system component (118) configured to perform threat detection using signature-based and anomaly-based detection techniques, and an automated blocking mechanism (122) configured to automatically block source IP addresses exhibiting malicious behavior patterns including denial-of-service indicators. These components are integrated within a unified platform to enable coordinated threat response without manual intervention and eliminate operational gaps inherent in standalone security components, including a real-time communication interface to eliminate coordination delays."
