MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014322 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'underwater videography assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ranjan Sarival; Dr. Mandeep Kaur; and Dr. Shweta Lamba.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An underwater videography assistive device, comprising a cuboidal frame 1 developed to be accommodate a camera and installed with an inflatable member 2 via a telescopically operated rod 3, a laser sensor for detecting dimensions of the camera, plurality of L-shaped pneumatic unit blocks installed one frame 1 to extend/retract for gripping camera, a speaker 5 for notifying user, a moisture sensor positioned on member for detecting presence of member, an air compressor for inflating the member, computing unit accessed by user for giving input commands, a GPS (Global Positioning System) module for fetching real-time location of the frame, a motorized propeller 6 installed with the member for maneuvering and positioning member, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 7 for capturing multiple images of camera, a telescopically operated gripper 8 for pressing shutter trigger to recording video, an RTC (Real-Time Clock) module for keeping an accurate track on real-time."
