Prior to the contrast agent administration, the robotic system (20) acquires a first set of ultrasound images while moving along a first predefined path. Subsequent to the contrast agent administration, the robotic system (20) acquires a second set of ultrasound images while moving along a second predefined path. The location and orientation of the ultrasound probe (22) in space at the acquisitions of the ultrasound images belonging to the first and second sets of ultrasound images are known. A set of subtraction images is generated, each subtraction image corresponding to a given location and orientation of the ultrasound probe (22) in space. Endometriosis lesions are identified within the subtraction images. Other applications are also described."
