MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517056310 A) filed by Schunk Sonosystems Gmbh, Wettenberg, Germany, on June 11, for 'ultrasonic welding device comprising air cooling.'

Inventor(s) include Ruhl, Sebastian; Werner, Waldemar; Wagenbach, Rainer; Strobel, Heiko; Muller, Stefan; Gunther, Daniel; Kosecki, Dariusz; Becker, Stephan; and Koch, Eugen.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an ultrasonic welding device (1) which comprises an oscillator arrangement (3), which has an ultrasonic oscillation generator (7) and a sonotrode (9) coupled to the ultrasonic oscillation generator (7), and a cooling device (5), which is individually associated with the oscillator arrangement (3). The cooling device (5) comprises at least one fan (27) for generating an air flow (35; 37). The cooling device (5) is connected, by means of a fluid communication connection (25), to the oscillator arrangement (3) in a region adjacent to the ultrasonic oscillation generator (7) in order to use the fan (27) to generate an air flow (35, 37) around and/or through the ultrasonic oscillation generator (7)."
