MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527054449 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on June 5, for 'ultra-wideband-based signal transmission methods and apparatus.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application relates to ultra-wideband-based signal transmission methods and an apparatus. A method comprises: sending a signal, the signal comprising a signal generated on the basis of a codeword obtained after encoding of first PHR information, the codeword comprising a codeword corresponding to the first PHR information in a first codeword set, and the first PHR information being used for indicating the data rate of a payload field of a physical layer. The present application can be used for improving the encoding performance of the first PHR information. The present application is applied to UWB-based WPAN systems, sensing systems and the like, comprising 802.15 series protocols such as 802.15.4a, 802.15.4z or 802.15.4ab protocols, and can also be applicable to WLAN systems of 802.11 series protocols such as 802.11ax next-generation Wi-Fi protocols, e.g. 802.11be, Wi-Fi 7 or EHT, and 802.11be next-generation, i.e. Wi-Fi 8."
