MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123314 A) filed by R Prabhu; and P Anitha, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 7, 2025, for 'ufasome based transdermal patches for disulfiram with enhanced enzyme specificity.'

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Ufasome Based Transdermal Patches for Disulfiram with Enhanced Enzyme Specificity Methods of making a transdermal patch formulation containing ufasomes and methods of delivering Disulfiram using the transdermal patch are provided. The ufasome formulation include Disulfiram, a phospholipid, ALDH substrate, a permeation enhancer and a film former and the prepared ufasomes were formulated into a transdermal patch using CMC and sodium alginate as a film forming agents. The prepared transdermal patch shows enhanced skin permeation effect along with enzyme specificity."
