MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541133761 A) filed by Sr University, Warangal, Telangana, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'uav-mounted item management and secure delivery device.'

Inventor(s) include L. Gunakar Rao; and Dr. K. Rajchandar.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A UAV-mounted item management and secure delivery device comprising a body 101 to be mounted with an UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) 201 model, a multi-section storage unit 102 placed within the body 101 comprising a plurality of sliding partitions, an item-scanning unit installed with the body 101 to identify item type, size, weight and delivery priority, a temperature-control module disposed within the storage unit 102 to maintain a predefined temperature range for temperature-sensitive items, a motion-detection module integrated with the body 101 to detect turbulence, vibration and tilt during flight, a stabilization module disposed on the body 101 to counteract detected turbulence, a route optimization module to process real-time environmental data and item priority and a recipient authentication module to authenticate a recipient using facial recognition, gesture recognition or one-time password (OTP)."
