MUMBAI, India, April 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311071116 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Oct. 18, 2023, for 'tyre replacement assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on April 25, under issue no. 17/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A tyre replacement assistive device comprising a frame 1 configured with a V-shaped telescopic rods 2 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, multiple motorized wheels 3 arranged on free ends of the rods 2 to provide movement to the frame 1, a microphone embedded within the frame 1 for enabling a user to input voice commands regarding a type of operation the user desired to perform, a speaker 4 mounted on the frame 1 for positioning the frame 1 in proximity of the vehicle via a curved handle 5 arranged on the frame 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 mounted on the frame 1 for detecting dimensions of the tyre, and a pair of clamping units 7 configured with L-shaped telescopic bars 8 configured with the rods 2 for accommodating the tyre."
