MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024158 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'typing assistive device for keyboard.'
Inventor(s) include Amandeep; Vikrant Rajput; Sarabpreet Kaur; Pardeep Kumar Jindal; and Manbir Kaur Brar.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A typing assistive device for keyboard, comprising a plate 1 to worn by user over finger portion of hand, a pair of straps 2 for securing the plate 1, multiple pressure sensors for detecting pressure applied by the plate 1 and straps 2, a pair of motorized rollers 3 for rotating on its axis, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 to detect dimensions and contours of fingers, an inflatable member for providing comfort grip, an extendable J- shaped unit 4 for engaging tip of user's finger, an OCR module to determine words typed by the user, a microphone 8 for receiving voice input of user, speaker 6 to produce audio notification for user, plurality of LDR for monitoring intensity of light in vicinity of plate 1, actuates plurality of LEDs 7 for providing light in vicinity of plate 1, FBG sensor for monitoring vital health parameters of user."
