MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025468 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'two-wheeler vehicle carriage assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A two-wheeler vehicle carriage assistive device, comprising, a platform 1 constructed with multiple extendable plates 7, to accommodate multiple two-wheeler vehicles, and installed with a rectangular member 2 via a rod 5, multiple electromagnets 8 for adhering the members 2 with the chassis, an imaging unit 4 for detecting presence of the two-wheeler vehicles in surroundings, a motorized hinge 3 for tilting and deploying a ramp in contact with ground surface for allowing the user to accommodate the two-wheeler vehicles on the plates 7, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting dimensions of the two-wheeler vehicles, a pair of laser sensors to detect width of wheels of the two-wheeler vehicles, a fingerprint sensor 9 to feed fingerprints for unlocking the wheels, motorized rollers to rotate for assisting the user in loading the vehicle on the plates 7, and multiple weight for detecting weight of the two-wheeler vehicles."
