MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004415 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 22, 2024, for 'two-wheeler loading assistive device for loading vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a two-wheeler loading assistive device for loading vehicles, comprising a platform 1 installed on trailer of a loading vehicle, a touch interactive display panel 2 installed on platform 1 for enabling user's input details, an imaging unit 3 installed on platform 1 for detect presence of two-wheeler in proximity to the vehicle, a pair of motorized sliding units 4 installed on platform 1 integrated with an extendable ladder 5 to translate the ladder 5 towards outer side of loading vehicle, a motorized hinge joint integrated between ladder 5 and sliding units 4 for tilting ladder 5 towards two-wheeler, a pair of slidable clamping units 6 arranged on ladder 5 for gripping tires of two-wheeler, a hydraulically operated actuator 7 integrated with clamping units 6 for dragging two-wheeler and a U-shaped locking integrated on sliding units 4 for securing tires on platform 1."
