Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Two-Dimensional Processes For The Expansion Of Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes And Therapies Therefrom' Filed by Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc.

MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517044281 A) filed by Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc., San Carlos, U.S.A., on May 7, for 'two-dimensional processes for the expansion of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes and therapies therefrom.'

Inventor(s) include Simpson-Abelson, Michelle.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided herein are methods of producing TILs via (i) pre-REP expansion steps, (ii) co- culture with dendritic cells presenting tumor-specific antigens, (iii) co-culture with tumor- derived organoids, (iv) selection of tumor-reactive TILs, and (v) rapid expansion of said -tumor- reactive TILs, or combinations thereof. Resultant therapeutics and diagnostics are similarly disclosed."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 16, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/080154.
