MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517092621 A) filed by Wuxi Cummins Turbo Technologies Company Ltd., Jiangsu, China, on Sept. 26, for 'turbine housing.'
Inventor(s) include Liu, Menghua; Zhao, Wentao; and Li, Tianbao.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An axially divided twin-volute turbine housing is disclosed, the axially divided twin-volute turbine housing (102) comprising: a first inlet volute (112) defining a first volute tongue (120); a second inlet volute (114) positioned axially adjacent to the first inlet volute (112) relative to a turbine axis (A) and defining a second volute tongue (122); and a dividing wall (116) separating the first inlet volute (112) from the second inlet volute (114); wherein the first volute tongue (120) defines a first radius (R1) relative to the turbine axis (A) and the second volute tongue (122) defines a second radius (R2) relative to the turbine axis (A), the first radius (R1) being larger than the second radius (R2)."
