MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517048810 A) filed by The Texas A&M University System, College Station, U.S.A., on May 20, for 'tunnel-structured ?-v2o5 as a redox-active insertion host for hybrid capacitive deionization.'
Inventor(s) include Banerjee, Sarbajit; and Cool, Nicholas, Isaac.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a hybrid capacitive deionization cell (HCDI) that uses ?-V2O5 as the positive electrode. Also disclosed are systems and methods for using an HCDI cell that uses ?-V2O5 as the positive electrode for desalination of aqueous solutions and/or the recovery' of ionns such as lithium, potassium, and sodium."
