MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202431037166 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Kharagpur, West Bengal, on May 10, 2024, for 'tunable self-oscillating integrated receiver for cognitive radios.'

Inventor(s) include Rijubrata Pal; and Mrinal Kanti Mandal.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an active antenna integrated self-oscillating mixer receiver system comprising a local oscillator (LO), a single wideband filtering antenna configured to simultaneously serve as a receiving antenna, impedance matching network, local oscillator (LO) feedback path, image rejection filter, and LO band-stop filter (BSF) and a wideband impedance transforming network (WBITN) operatively connected to the antenna enabling integration of the antenna to the LO with wide tuning range of the LO."
