MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531132750 A) filed by Asansol Engineering College, Asansol, West Bengal, on Dec. 28, 2025, for 'trust-based model for temporal databases.'
Inventor(s) include Mrs. Shatabdi Mondal; Mr. Sabyasachi Mukherjee; Dr. Bhaskar Roy; and Mr. Ayan Chowdhury.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention introduces a trust-extended framework for time-dependent database systems, combining real-time, temporal, and relational databases with trust-based operators. A dedicated Trust Engine evaluates and enforces trust during query execution by validating users, transactions, and data attributes against trust thresholds. The invention employs trust algebra operators, including trusted selection, projection, union, and join operations, to facilitate secure, dependable, and temporally aware database processing. The system enhances database reliability and is applicable to mission-critical environments where both time and trust are vital."
