MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006192 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 30, 2024, for 'trouser securing assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Dinesh Arora; Dr. Ruchi Singla; Dr. Parveen Singla; and Dr. Amresh Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A trouser securing assistive device, comprising a first body 1 utilize to positioned over a waist portion of a loose trouser worn by a user, a microphone 2 is mapped on the first body 1 to give voice commands for fixing the first body 1 with the waist portion of trouser, a primary pin 3 installed within the first body 1 via a primary push-turn button arrangement 4 for securing the body 1 with the trouser, a camera 5 mounted on the first body 1 for capturing multiple images of the user's waist portion, a laser projection unit 6 positioned on the first body 1 for projecting a laser beam at a suitable location on the waist portion of sad trouser to position a second body 7, and a telescopically operated rod 10 and configured with a for securing the trouser on the user's waist portion."
