MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024930 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'trimmed facial hair collection assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A trimmed facial hair collection assistive device, comprising a curved frame 1 configured with plurality of plates 2 interconnected with each of or by means of plurality of motorized primary hinge joints, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit determines dimensions of neck portion, a microphone 4 receives voice command of user regrading deploying of beard hair collecting means, plurality of extendable flaps equipped with a flexible sheet deploys sheet in front of user, a proximity sensor monitors distance of a fixed surface in front of user from frame 1. a suction cup 6 affixes flaps with surface and a vibration unit to transmit vibrations to the sheet."
