MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517041702 A) filed by Encapsys, Llc, Appleton, U.S.A., on April 30, for 'treatment composition with chitosan-based delivery particles.'
Inventor(s) include Feng, Linsheng; Lebron, Ariel; Joos, Conny Erna Alice; Fernandez-Prieto, Susana; Keijzer, Olav Pieter Dora Tony; Smets, Johan; and Collu, Mattia.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A population of core/shell delivery particles, where the shell is made, at least in part, of a polymeric material that is the reaction product of chitosan and a cross-linking agent, where the chitosan is characterized by a particular weight average molecular weight, such as from 100 kDa to 600 kDa. Related methods of making and using such compositions."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 29, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/081493.
