MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004756 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'travel assistive device for four-wheeler vehicles.'
Inventor(s) include Jagjit Singh.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A travel assistive device for four-wheeler vehicles, comprises of a platform 1 configured with multiple suction cups 2 adhered on inner side of a door of a four-wheeler vehicle, a cylindrical member 3 to allow living being to rest, a camera 4 to detect height of the living being, a motorized slider 5 configured between member 3 and platform 1 to translate member 3 as per height of living-being, an inflatable unit 7 to provide comfort to living-being over member 3, a speaker 8 to notify living-being/guardian to move the face/arm of living-being inwards, multiple telescopically operated links 9 to exert pressure over face/arm of living-being to push face/arm inwards, an iris detection sensor to detect sleeping condition of living-being and a motorized hinge 6 configured between platform 1 and slider 5 to tilt the member 3 inwards to prevent living-being from injury."
