MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517098942 A) filed by Saint-Gobain Glass France, Courbevoie, France, on Oct. 14, for 'transparent substrate provided with a functional stack of thin layers.'

Inventor(s) include Guimard, Denis; Hivet, Romain; Lelarge, Anne; and Ross, Andrew.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a transparent substrate (10) provided with a functional stack (14) of thin layers on at least one of its faces (11), said functional stack (14) comprising, starting from the substrate (10), at least one metal functional layer (140) placed between two dielectric modules (120, 160) of thin layers, and wherein at least one of the dielectric modules (120, 160) of thin layers comprises a tungsten oxide layer (120a, 160a, 200a) having a physical thickness of between 5 nm and 50 nm, and the tungsten oxide comprises at least one dopant element selected from the chemical elements of group 1 according to the IUPAC nomenclature, or is sub-stoichiometric pure WOx."
