MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411071393 A) filed by Ampere S. A. S, Boulogne-Billancourt, France, on Sept. 20, 2024, for 'transmission system in an electric vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Panneerselvam, Vetri-Selvan.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a transmission system (308) for an electric vehicle. The system includes a primary shaft (404) operatively connected to a drive motor (306), a secondary shaft (406) disposed parallelly to the primary shaft, a hub (412, 414, 416), a controller (304) and a gear shift fork (430). The primary shaft has drive gears (418A, 420A, 422A, 424A, 426A) mounted on it and the secondary shaft has driven gears (418B, 420B, 422B, 424B, 426B) mounted on it. The hub is to selectively engage with a driven gear for transfer of power from the driven gear to the secondary shaft. The controller (304) is configured to measure vehicle speed and a control pedal input to sync the drive motor speed with the vehicle speed. The gear shift fork (430) is configured to engage the hub to desired driven gear."
