MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011946 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'transmission line electric pole insulator protection assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Rajeswari Chaini.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A transmission line electric pole insulator protection assistive device, comprises of an elongated body 101 having motorized clamping unit 102 for gripping bottom end of insulator and cross-arm of pole, a circular shaped member 103 fabricated with an insulating padding, an expandable pulley arrangement 104 to expand/ retract member 103, for adjusting dimension of member 103 for withstanding high voltages and preventing electrical conduction through the device, multiple vibrating unit 105 produces vibrations of pre-defined intensity for eliminating detected water/ moisture from insulator, thus eliminating chances of flow of current towards cross-arm of pole, a horizontal screw link mechanism 106 for maintain an appropriate distance between insulator and cross-arm and maintain the line tension value within safe limits, and a GPS (Global Positioning System) module fetching location coordinates of body 101."
