According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a transmission device capable of removing air from a support of a pole shaft while maintaining the strength of the support. A transmission device according to an aspect of the present disclosure comprises: a transmission mechanism; a parking lock mechanism; and a gear case. The parking lock mechanism has a pole shaft and a parking pole oscillatable about the pole shaft. The gear case has a first support that supports a first end of the pole shaft, and a second support that supports a second end of the pole shaft and that has, as compared to the first support, greater rigidity with respect to a lock load applied from the parking pole. The pole shaft has a communication hole formed from the first end to the second end. The second support has an insertion port, a bottom surface, and a groove extending from the bottom surface to the insertion port."
