MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511113815 A) filed by Rayat Bahra University; Bahra University; and Rayat Bahra Professional University, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 19, 2025, for 'transformable carrying and seating assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A transformable carrying and seating assistive device, comprises of a pliable frame 101, a pair of flexible straps 102, an electromagnetic strip 103 for securement of the straps 102 for adjustable carrying positions, a biometric scanner to imprint fingerprints scanner to identify ridges and patterns on the user's finger print, a compartment 104 to accommodate desired commodities, an electromagnetic zipper 105 for opening and to retrieve/accommodate the commodities from the compartment 104, a microphone 106 to provide input voice commands for re-orientation of the frame 101 to a seating unit, a plurality of motorized hinges 107 for providing transition to change the configuration of the frame 101, a GPS (Global Positioning System) module for real-time location tracking of the frame 101, that is accessible on a user for theft prevention."
