MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517062811 A) filed by Sanofi, Paris, on July 1, for 'transferrin receptor binding proteins.'

Inventor(s) include Cameron, Beatrice; Capdevila, Cecile; Dabdoubi, Tarik; Do, Tuan-Minh; Duperrier, Blandine; Gagnaire, Marie; George, Kelly; Lesuisse, Dominique; Rapisarda, Chiara; Soubrier, Fabienne; and Van Der Flier, Arjan.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides antibodies and antigen-binding fragments that target transferrin receptor. Also provided is the use of these antibodies and antigen-binding fragments as carriers to deliver therapeutic molecules across the blood-brain barrier."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 05, 2023, under International application No.PCT/IB2023/062266.
