According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A traffic signal control system, comprising a camera 101 positioned to monitor two-wheeler riders at a traffic intersection, a processing unit 102 configured to analyze real-time video feeds captured by the camera 101 for detecting helmet compliance using advanced machine learning models, a signal control module 103 connected to the processing unit 102 for dynamically regulating traffic signal states based on the helmet detection results, a compliance feedback mechanism operable to provide visual and auditory alerts to non-compliant riders, a data logging component 104 configured to record helmet compliance events and transmit the data to a centralized authority for monitoring and enforcement, and an infrared sensor integrated with the camera 101 to ensure accurate helmet detection under low visibility conditions, thereby incentivizing helmet usage while managing traffic flow effectively."
