MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641051675 A) filed by Sr University, Warangal, Telangana, on April 23, for 'tractor mounted straw pelletizing system and method for in-field processing of agricultural residue.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A tractor mounted straw pelletizing system (100) for in-field processing of agricultural residue is disclosed. The system (100) comprising a pickup mechanism (102) to receive collected straw, a cutting arrangement (104) operatively connected to the pickup mechanism (102), a high-speed cutter bar (106) to cut collected straw into smaller segments, a material transfer arrangement (108) to transfer cut straw, a pelletizing chamber (110) to compress cut straw into densified pellets, a transfer conduit (112) to direct densified pellets, and onboard storage tank (114) to receive and store the densified pellets. The system (100) enables single-pass processing of agricultural residue during traversal of the field. The system (100) provides an integrated, field-deployable solution that efficiently collects, processes, densifies, and stores agricultural residue with minimal operational delay."
