MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020112 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'traction control device for four-wheeler vehicles.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A traction control device for four-wheeler vehicles comprises of plurality of primary circular platforms 1 attached with the device to be positioned in contact with wheels of a four-wheeler vehicle are secured with the wheels by computing unit arranged with a user interface enabling user to give input commands, multiple telescopically operated bars 9 to extend for adjusting a suction cup 10 associated with each of the bars 9 for generating a vacuum pressure underneath the suction cup 10 s in order to adhere the suction cup 10 s with the wheel discs, a laser sensor for detecting diameter of the wheels, an expandable pulley arrangement 8 for increasing diameter of the secondary platform 2 for parallelly aligning the secondary platform 2 with the wheels, and an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 11 to detect the type of surfaces."
