MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517085641 A) filed by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co. Ltd., Beijing, on Sept. 9, for 'tracking reference signal (trs) configuration method, and apparatus therefor.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed in the embodiments of the present application are a TRS configuration method, and an apparatus therefor, which can be applied to a communication system. The method comprises: sending to a terminal device TRS configuration information, which is used for indicating M configured TRS bursts, wherein the M TRS bursts comprise periodic TRS bursts and/or aperiodic TRS bursts, there is a time interval of at least one time unit between adjacent TRS bursts, and M is an integer greater than or equal to 2. By means of rationally configuring TRS resources for the terminal device, the terminal device can accurately determine a TDCP on the basis of the rationally configured TRS resources. Moreover, a certain time interval is set between adjacent TRS bursts, such that overheads of the TRS resources can be reduced, and the accuracy of TDCP measurement can be improved."
