MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617009000 A) filed by Renault S. A. S., Boulogne Billancourt, France, on Jan. 29, for 'torsion axle structure.'

Inventor(s) include Blanche, Pierre; Delaure, Nicolas; Gallo, Emmanuel; and Pourceau, Jean-Michel.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a torsion axle structure comprising: a channel section crossmember having a web and two free flanges (28, 30) and two opposite crossmember ends (15, 22), each of said two ends having two flange edges, said flange edges each having a notch; a hollow arm (14) connected to each of the two crossmember ends (15, 22) and extending into the notches; and a connecting piece (32), said connecting piece having two opposite ends (44, 46) and two opposite longitudinal edges (48, 50), and being mounted at each of the two crossmember ends (15, 22) such that the two opposite longitudinal edges (48, 50) are connected to the flanges (28, 30) respectively, while one (46) of the two ends of the connecting piece is connected to the arm (14). The thickness of the connecting piece (32) decreases from the end (46) that is connected to the arm (14) to the other end (44) of the piece."

The patent application was internationally filed on July 19, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/070549.
