MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115554 A) filed by Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, Haryana, on Nov. 22, 2025, for 'topology optimisation system for structural component design.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Aparna Vyas; and Ms. Nikita Mittal.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a system (100) for topology-based optimisation of a component within a design domain. The system (100) comprises a support structure (102) housing an input interface (104), a processor (106), a memory (108), an output interface (116) and a data store (118). The memory (108) stores instructions for a mesh generator (110), a finite element analysis engine (112) and an optimisation engine (114). The processor (106) generates a discretised representation of the design domain, evaluates compliance responses through the finite element analysis engine (112), and updates material distribution through the optimisation engine (114) subject to performance constraints until convergence. The output interface (116) provides manufacturing data comprising a surface or lattice representation, and the data store (118) archives iteration history. Such a system (100) enables generation of optimised geometries and lightweight structures with improved computational efficiency."
