MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017945 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'tooth care device.'
Inventor(s) include Geetanshu Dawar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A tooth care device comprises of a curved-shaped body 1 developed to be positioned in front of a user's mouth portion, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 for detecting dimensions of the user's mouth portion, a pair of L-shaped extendable plates 3 for opening the user's mouth portion, a color sensor for detecting color of the user's teeth, a first robotic arm equipped with an electronic prophy jet 5 connected with a chamber 6 stored with a teeth cleaning solution, for positioning the prophy jet 5 in proximity to the determined teeth in a successive manner for spraying the cleaning solution to clean the determined teeth in the successive manner, an electronic nozzle 12 for dispensing the amalgam in the gap in accordance to dimensions of the gap, and a tertiary robotic arm attached with a dental curing light to illuminate for curing amalgam."
