MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511104049 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Oct. 29, 2025, for 'tool-free locking apparatus for modular communication devices.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a locking apparatus for modular communication devices configured for tool-free engagement and disengagement. The locking apparatus comprises a support bracket configured to retain a communication device module, a wedge ramp block fixed to said support bracket and configured to define an inclined ramp surface, a latch arm resiliently mounted on said communication device module and configured to ride over said wedge ramp block during insertion, and a release plunger operatively guided through said communication device module and configured to compel outward deflection of said latch arm such that said latch arm is disengaged from said wedge ramp block."
