MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547094342 A) filed by Fernandez-Sacristan Garcia, Eduardo, Madrid, on Oct. 1, for 'tool for picking up faeces and cleaning and disinfecting urine.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention falls within the technical field of tools for cleaning and particularly for picking up dog excrement, characterised in that the invention not only picks up faeces, but also cleans and disinfects the areas and elements where dogs urinate. Therefore, the invention discloses a tool related to hygiene and public health that helps clean and sanitise places, streets, pavements, parks and furnishings, benches and objects where dogs usually urinate. Furthermore, the user performs the task of picking up the faeces and cleaning and disinfecting in a more hygienic and complete manner, as has often been done with the user's hand protected by a plastic bag."
