According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A toll management and access control system comprising a plurality of toll lanes 101 arranged within a toll plaza, an imaging unit 102 installed within toll plaza to detect unauthorized passage by low ground clearance vehicles, a barrier unit installed with each lane 101 and embedded within a road surface to enable rapid deployment and retraction between a lowered flush position and a raised blocking position to prevent unauthorized passage, multiple pressure sensors associated with each rod 103 and configured to detect obstructions during rod 103 deployment, a processing unit operatively coupled with barrier unit to halt or reverse rod 103 movement upon detection of an obstruction, a lane management unit, a visual guidance unit 104, a lane entry blocking unit, a toll billing module, and a safety and incident response unit to detect pedestrian presence, trapped vehicles, collisions, and emergency events."
