MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022364 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 22, 2024, for 'toggle switch operational device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A toggle switch operational device comprises of, a housing 1 developed to be arranged on a toggle switch, a vertical rod 3 is arranged on the channel that is assembled with a plate 4 that translates on a channel based on position of the switch encased inside the housing 1, an artificial intelligence enabled image capturing module 2 installed inside the housing 1 to determine positioning of the plate 4, a pair of members assembled with the plate 4 to make a firm grip over the switch via suction units integrated with the members, a microphone mounted on the housing 1 for fetching voice commands from a user regarding turning on/off of the switch, and a current leakage detection sensor is embedded one of the members for detecting any type of leakage in current flowing through the switch."
