MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010159 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'toddler carrying device for bicycle.'

Inventor(s) include Rahul Vishnoi; and Arun Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An toddler carrying device for bicycle includes a frame 1 mounted on a handle tube of a bicycle via a clamping unit 2, two seats 3 to accommodate a pair of toddlers for carrying toddlers while riding bicycle, a laser acuity sensor for detecting user's height, multiple poles 4 configured between each seats 3 and frame 1 for adjusting height of each of seat 3 for enabling user to get clear view of the path, a camera 8 to detect pot holes over path, a speaker 9 for notifying user about presence of pot holes, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting distance between an approaching vehicle and bicycle, in case receded distance than a threshold value, speaker 9 alerts user about chances of accidents, a LDR (light dependent resistor) for detecting light intensity in surrounding, in case of receded light intensity, a LED (Light emitting diode) 10 illuminates light in surrounding."
