MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012456 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'tire retrieving device for warehouses.'

Inventor(s) include Rakesh Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A tire retrieving device for warehouses comprises of a circular platform 1developed to retrieve tires from warehouse, computing unit wirelessly associated with device for enabling user to give input commands regarding type and number of tires to retire from warehouse, set of motorized omnidirectional wheels 4 configured underneath platform 1 for manoeuvring and positioning platform 1 within warehouse, camera 5 installed with disc 2 via a rod for capturing multiple images of surroundings, a pair of telescopically operated grippers 6 grips and positions user-defined number of tires on disc 2, laser acuity sensor positioned on disc 2 for detecting diameter of tires, an expandable pulley arrangement 9 integrated with disc 2 for increasing/decreasing diameter of disc 2, ultrasonic sensor positioned on disc 2 for detected user's height, set of electromagnetic springs 7 configured between links 3 and disc 2 to expand for uplifting disc 2."
