MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020114 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'tire disengaging assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A tire disengaging assistive device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface, a rotatable circular plate 2 arranged on the platform 1 that is accessed by a user for positioning a tire rim form which tire is to be removed, plurality of motorized clippers 3 integrated on the plate 2 to acquire a grip on the rim for securing the rim on the plate 2, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 installed on the platform 1 to detect exact location and dimensions of gap present in between the rim and tire portion, a curve-shaped member 5 configured on the platform 1 for providing thumping movement on the gap and a speaker 6 mounted on the platform 1 to produce audio alerts for notifying the user to disengage the tire from the plate 2."
