MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013451 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'tint film installation device for vehicles.'

Inventor(s) include Harpreet Singh Lubana.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A tint film installation device for vehicles, comprises a first and second platform 1, 2 placed on a ground surface, multiple motorized wheels 3 to maneuver platform over ground, a camera 4 to capture multiple mages of vehicle, a scissor arrangement 5 to adjust height according to windshield of vehicle, a robotic arm 6 configured with a motorized clamp 7 for removing sealant from windshield, telescopically operated rods 8 attached with suction units 9 to grip out windshield and positioning over suction cups 10 installed via pneumatic bars 11 over second platform 2, an electronic valve 13 for dispensing water on windshield, an air blower 14 to dry out said windshield post-cleaning, a motorized roller 15 wrapped with tint film to apply tint over the windshield, an electronic nozzle 17 for applying sealant over windshield, and telescopic rods 8 to pick windshield and place over desired position on vehicle."
