MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023095 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'tile joining assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A tile joining assistive device comprises of, a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, an ultrasonic sensor is mapped on the platform 1 to detect height of a user present in proximity to the platform 1, multiple telescopically operated rods 6 for supporting the platform 1 at a height on the surface, a plate 9 accessed by the user for positioning a tile, an imaging unit 3 to detect dimensions of the accommodated tile, a motorized drawer arrangement 10 to increase/ decrease dimensions of the plate 9, a touch interactive display panel 2 to input commands regarding joining of tiles with the accommodated tile, multiple L-shaped telescopic bars 4 for allowing the user to position tiles over the bars 4, and an electronic nozzle 12 for dispensing adhesive liquid at junction of two tiles, thereby joining the tiles in accordance with user-specified pattern."
