According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The titled invention discloses a Wi-Fi based smart safety and location assistance system named Thunaivan, designed as a wearable band for emergency alert generation and remote monitoring. The system comprises a wearable smart safety band (1) housing an microc~ntroller unit (2) with an integrated Wi-Fi module (3), an SOS push button (4), a coin vibration motor (5) driven through a transistor driver circuit 10 (6), and the power management circuitry (10) comprises of a rechargeable Li-Po battery (7), a battery charging module (8), and a DC-DC boost converter module (9). Upon activation of the SOS push button (4), the microcontroller (2) 1nrtiates an emergency mode, activates the vibration motor (5) to provide user feedback, and scans nearby Wi-Fi access points to collect network parameters such as MAC 15 addresses and signal strength. The collected data, along with emergency status information, is transmitted over the internet to a web-based monitoring system (11) and stored in a cloud database (12) for real-time display and monitoring. The invention provides a low-power, standalone, and cost-effective safety solution capable of assisting location identification in indoor and GPS-Iimited environments without 20 reliance on SIM cards or smartphones."
